ReportON

ReportON is a 24/7 hotline to report abuse or suspected abuse of adults with a developmental disability.

Abuse is often hard to identify. Examples can include being denied basic necessities like food, shelter, clothing or medicine. Even if you are unsure, but suspect abuse or neglect of an adult with a developmental disability, you should contact ReportON. Each call will be investigated and the appropriate action will be taken.

Partners for Planning - p4p Planning Network

Partners for Planning is a national non-profit organization that supports people with a developmental disability and their families to be proactive in planning for the future. Community Living Ontario

United Nations - Department of Economic and Social Affairs - Social Inclusion

The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities was adopted on 13 December 2006 at the United Nations Headquarters.
It follows decades of work by the United Nations to change attitudes and approaches to persons with disabilities and lifts, to a new height, the movement from viewing persons with disabilities as “objects” of charity, medical treatment and social protection towards viewing persons with disabilities as “subjects” with rights, who are capable of claiming those rights and making decisions for their lives based on their free and informed consent as well as being active members of society.

Every Canadian Counts

Every Canadian Counts (ECC) is committed to improving services for Canadians that have long-term, chronic disabilities. There is an urgent need to provide for these Canadians and their families, as many do not have access to even the most basic supports and services.

ARCH Disability Law Centre

ARCH Disability Law Centre is a specialty legal clinic that practices exclusively in disability rights law. Since its incorporation in 1979, ARCH has been a leader in disability rights advocacy and test case litigation. ARCH is dedicated to defending and advancing the equality rights, entitlements, fundamental freedoms, and inclusion of persons with disabilities with low income in Ontario. ARCH is primarily funded by Legal Aid Ontario.
